Very well done to our Year 8 football team.
Mr Strang said, “The team enjoyed a triumphal end to the season last Friday by winning the Plymouth Schools cup final against Lipson Academy”.
The game proved to be an exciting encounter with the lead changing hands several times. In the second half DHSB were able to pull ahead winning the game 7 - 4. The whole squad are to be congratulated as every player made a contribution to the victory.
Special mention goes to Aleks Zawadzki 8N who scored four goals for the team.
Congratulations!

Well done Maxim.
We love hearing about our students’ activities outside school. If you have news about your child to share then please send the information to headteacher@dhsb.org with a photo if possible.
Sparx Maths and Sparx Reader
Each week we celebrate our highest performers in both Sparx Maths and Sparx Reader, two of our core homework platforms. We are proud of all of our students who complete their homework each week to such a high standard but these three students in Maths deserve a special mention.
Well done!
PTFA News
Alton Towers
Over 500 students and volunteers filled ten coaches and had a fantastic day at Alton Towers last Saturday!
The excitement as they all set off at 4.45am was palpable!
A big thank you to all the volunteers - the trip can't go ahead without you.
We'd like everyone to consider volunteering at our events if you are able to.
As well as the children enjoying it so much, the Alton Towers trip is our biggest fundraiser which enables us to buy those 'extras' not covered by the normal school budget.
Also, please note we have a box of lost property so please get in touch if you are missing any items at ptfa@dhsb.org.
Summer Disco
We don't let the grass grow under us! We are now on to our popular summer disco. The deadline for tickets is Sunday 2 June - the last day of half term but sales will close early if we reach capacity so please don't delay.
Local celebrity Mischief attended our disco meeting again this week so your child is in good paws. He sat on our box of wristbands though when he realised he is not able to attend!
Once you buy your ticket it is very important to submit your consent form as soon as possible. 54 of you have not opened the consent form email yet - please do this as soon as you can.
Unfortunately children will not be issued their wristband for the disco until we have received their consent form. If you do not think you have received this please check your spam folder before contacting us.
Next Meeting
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 25 June at 6.30pm in the Conference Room - please come if you can!
